New Pupil Information
We’re delighted to welcome you and your child to Bousfield School of Dance. We hope you’ll find the following information useful.
We offer your child two free trial classes when joining us. You’re welcome to watch these classes if you wish. We also invite parents to watch the last class of each term.
For trial classes, please bring your child in clothes which are easy to move in. For ballet and modern classes trial classes can be done in bare feet. For tap trials please wear school shoes. For all classes hair should be worn in a bun. Advice on how to do this, along with hair nets and pins, can be obtained from us.
Please arrive a few minutes early for your third lesson so that we can fit your child for uniform. We will tell you at your trial lessons what uniform your child will need. Please note that all uniform should be purchased from us to ensure continuity and fit. If you would like second hand uniform, please tell us as soon as possible so that we can try to obtain this for you as supply is limited.
At your third class you will also be given an invoice for fees for the remainder of the half term. Subsequently, you will be invoiced half-termly in advance.
Fees vary depending on the length of the class. Discounts apply for multiple genres and for siblings.
Please fill in and return an enrolment form so that we have emergency and contact details for your child. This can be printed from the downloadable form below, or a copy can be collected at your first trial lesson.
We ask you to sign on the enrolment form that you agree to the use of photography and videography.
We video and photograph the School's shows so that DVDs and photos can be made available to parents. Show photos are sometimes used on the website and for specific publicity purposes, as are photos occasionally taken in class for this specific purpose. We may also make occasional use of video in class with older children as a teaching aid. Videos used for this purpose will only be used within the class in question.
Please speak to us if you have any concerns about the above.
